But in this video clip, veteran investment counselor Pat McKeough says you have to recognize that becoming a landlord is not the same as direct investment in real estate. When you become a landlord, you have to ask whether you want a part-time job running a house that you own, renting it out, being responsible for calling the plumber, chasing down tenants that don’t pay, and so on.
