NBI launches new portfolios and funds

National Bank Investments on June 23 announced five new exchange-traded funds and one new mutual fund.

To attain their investment objective, all NBI ETF Portfolios invest primarily in a diverse mix of ETFs and in ETF Series of mutual funds that invest in fixed-income and equity securities.

NBI Thematic Rotation ETF (TSX: NTHM) investment objective is to generate long-term capital growth by replicating, to the extent possible and before fees and expenses, the performance of a thematic rotation equity index that systematically rotates exposure among global equity themes. To do this, the NBI Thematic Rotation ETF invests, directly or indirectly through investments in securities of other mutual funds, in a portfolio composed primarily of equity securities of corporations located around the world.

NBI Systematic Sustainable World Equity Fund seeks long-term capital growth while following a sustainable approach to investing. The fund invests, directly or indirectly through investments in securities of other mutual funds, in a portfolio composed primarily of equity securities of companies located in developed markets around the world that are selected using quantitative models.

CIBC terminates ETF series of Sustainable Investment Strategies funds

CIBC on June 18 announced it will terminate the ETF series of the CIBC Sustainable Investment Strategies, on or about Nov. 27, 2026. The ETF series of the funds are expected to be de-listed from the Cboe CAN, at CIBC’s request, at the close of business on or about Nov. 25, 2026,

SIMA releases April fund industry statistics

The Securities and Investment Management Association (SIMA) on June 17 announced investment fund net sales and net assets for May 2026.

Mutual fund assets totalled $2.735 trillion at the end of May, up by $87.5 billion, or 3.3%, since April. Mutual fund net sales were $2.9 billion in May.

ETF assets totalled $859.6 billion at the end of May, up by $42.3 billion, or 5.2%, since April. ETF net sales were $13.7 billion in May.
